A lot of fans, including myself, of the popular photography finder and attribution plugin, PhotoDropper, were disappointed with the updates. So today we are looking at some alternatives that may be able to fill PhotoDropper’s shoes.
Below are three selections from the Official WordPress Plugin repository.
Just as the case with any open-source contribution to the WordPress community, you mileage and compatibility may vary. Always backup your site before experimenting with new plugins and never install plugins from untrusted sources.

btw – i’m sorry, I shouldn’t have been so harsh sounding in my post. The new UI isn’t that bad, but it seems… i don’t know… “busier” than necessary? At least compared to the previous version. My big issue is that, at least on the sites I’ve tested the new version on, it hasn’t been working correctly. Gets stuck in the upload stage. My media library gets an empty image and the plugin just spins away with no user feedback.
I *did* like some of the new features that it (appears) to have included, such as setting where the citation appears, etc.

Hey guys,
I’m a developer at PhotoDropper; so sorry you’re not digging the update so far! We’re working hard on improvements.
If you could go into more detail about what’s wrong or what you’re desiring from the interface, we’d love to hear more and work with that.
More improvements soon!

Hi Nicky,
Do you still work for PhotoDropper? I sent an email via the PhotoDropper site a week ago and no one has responded.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in, but it still doesn’t work. When I click on the PhotoDropper icon in my post, absolutely nothing happens now. It used to always work perfectly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
James-

Good morning, James. I’m sorry for the confusion, but I’ve never worked for PhotoDropper and I’m not affiliated with them. I’m very sorry you’ve been unable to reach them. I too was a user of their plugin, but after some problems I started looking in to alternatives. If none of the ones below work for you, and you need commercial support, I do offer WordPress development services and would be happy to see what can be done to meet you needs. Thanks for dropping by and best wishes in your endeavors.

Nice. PhotoDropper recently stopped working for me (and the new UI leaves much to be desired). Good to have some alternatives.
